Bryant Elementary School 3rd-5th graders participated in a STEM Fair! It was amazing to see the great enthusiasm, awesome experiments and excellent presentations. Way to go, students!
Last month, our youngest learners took part in Black History Month! The Riley Early Childhood Center students hosted their own program for their families singing songs or performing dances representing African American culture.
Tomorrow, Friday, March 15 is a School Improvement Day! Students will be released at 12:30 p.m.
In honor of Black History Month in February, Whittier Elementary Students presented The Living Wax Museum! Students learned about, dressed up as and created presentations in honor of famous Black Americans. All students from kindergarten through 5th grade participated!
Last month, Whittier Elementary School hosted their Family Sweetheart Dance! All family members were welcome to attend and everyone enjoyed their time together with family and friends!
Congratulations to the Angelou boys basketball team - they are once again champions! The team includes students from grades three through five and have been undefeated since 2022. A huge shout out goes to the team coaches Ms. Emma Beans and Mr. Claude Davis!
Superintendent Dr. Lawrence is proud to partner with State Representative, and Harvey alum, Will Davis to advocate for all of South Suburban Cook County! It takes a village to raise our students and a concerted effort bringing together home, school and the community.

Holmes Elementary School students with perfect attendance during the month of January were rewarded with ice cream and brownies. There were 95 students with perfect attendance, which was the most of any month this year! We hope to have even more for our Perfect Attendance Pizza Party in February!

In observance of Presidents Day, Harvey School District 152 will be closed on Monday, Feb. 19. There will be no school for students or staff. Enjoy the long weekend!
