Our Buildings and Grounds Department maintains and improves all district facilities. The Department focuses on capital planning, energy management, cost saving initiatives and community use of school facilities. They do so with guidance from our Administration, our Finance Committee and our full Board of Education. Every year, a list of new capital maintenance and improvement projects are evaluated and, depending upon budget capacity and prioritization, placed into our Capital Projects plan. Our work is primarily done in-house by our professional custodial and maintenance staff but is sometimes outsourced when appropriate.
The Buildings and Grounds Department supports the District’s strategic plan by assuring that all facilities are safe, clean and properly maintained for students, staff, and visitors.
