We’re continuing to share the wonderful events our students held during Black History Month! Holmes Elementary School students performed songs, dances and special acts in honor of Black Americans in front of a large audience of staff and family members.
As a reminder, there is no school for students on Thursday, March 21 for Parent Teacher Conferences, and there is no school for students on Friday, March 22 for a Staff Institute Day. Enjoy the extended weekend!

Last week, Harvey School District 152 hosted the annual district-wide Black History Month event honoring the past and inspiring the future. We’re incredibly proud of the wonderful student performances!

Join us tonight, Feb. 22, for our District-wide Celebrate Black History All Day, Every Day event!
We look forward to celebrating Black History through student and staff presentations at Brooks Middle School at 6 p.m. All community members are welcome to attend! Refreshments are available beginning at 5 p.m.
Holmes Elementary School students with perfect attendance during the month of January were rewarded with ice cream and brownies. There were 95 students with perfect attendance, which was the most of any month this year! We hope to have even more for our Perfect Attendance Pizza Party in February!
