Harvey School District 152 has scheduled presentations for instruction of Erin’s Law, House Bill-HB 6193 (P.A. 97-1147). Erin’s Law states; “Programs should include techniques to teach children to recognize sexual abuse. Equip them with skills to reduce their vulnerability and encourage them to report the abuse.”
Harvey Schools and Tom Kress from Hi Esteem Coaching and Speaking are bringing a dynamic and powerful presentation to your students during the week of Oct. 2. This program teaches students the value in using their powerful voice by saying "STOP" and "NO", telling their own Personal Hero, keeping NO SECRETS and more. To learn more about this program ahead of time, please attend our Parent Presentation on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. on Google Meet.

All parents and guardians are welcome to attend Brooks Middle School's annual Open House on Monday, September 11. We will meet in the gym at 6:00 pm. By 6:15, parents will be invited to go into classrooms and meet the professionals responsible for educating their children.

On Thursday, August 10, Maya Angelou Elementary School held its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! Thank you to our Board of Education, administrators, teachers, students and community members for helping us celebrate!
Newly renovated areas of the school include a STEM Lab, student classroom spaces and fine arts areas. We look forward to our students and staff learning and teaching in these beautiful spaces for years to come.
With the extreme heat during our first week of school, we managed to keep our buildings open and our students and staff members safe! We couldn’t have done it without the help of our community, our families and our incredible custodial and maintenance team.
Early each morning, Director of Buildings and Grounds Mr. Alfred Daniels checked each building and made the necessary adjustments to prepare for the day ahead. We’re so proud of everyone who was part of making our first week a great one!

Harvey School District is currently searching for a new Superintendent to lead our district beginning in January 2024. We want to hear from YOU in our community focus groups this week.
