Following a superintendent search in partnership with School Exec Connect, Harvey School District 152 is excited to announce the next leader of our district.
Dr. Reginald L. Lawrence II has a total of 32 years of educational experience. He has served in numerous capacities including elementary and middle school teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, elementary and high school principal, regional superintendent of schools and superintendent of schools.
Throughout the search process, the Harvey community shared their priorities for a superintendent which included someone who is student-centered, fiscally responsible, a hands-on leader, and someone who has a commitment to longevity. Input was gathered via focus groups, a community survey, and other engagement activities. Dr. Lawrence truly embodies the profile established by the community.
With a true commitment to civic duty and service within the community, Dr. Lawrence is a member of NAACP, National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE), American Association of School Administrators (AASA), Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and an 18-year veteran of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He serves on the board of Two Rivers YMCA, Junior Achievement of the Heartland, Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He earned his Doctorate in Administrative Leadership from National Louis University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Lawrence is married to Dr. Pandora Lawrence, and is the proud father of one daughter, Kaela Lawrence, a current graduate student at the University of Maryland.
The Harvey School District 152 community welcomes Dr. Lawrence as we look forward to a promising future that provides amazing educational opportunities for our students!
