Bryant Elementary School kindergarten students had an incredible year of learning and growing in their social and emotional development. They celebrated the end of the school year with a trip to the zoo, creating a painting, and attending their awards ceremony with their families. First grade, here they come!

When students’ basic needs are met, they are better equipped to learn and grow. Bryant Elementary School recently hosted a clothes giveaway event for students and families. Thank you to all who donated items of clothes to support our community!

Tigers and Bears unite! Last week, Bryant Elementary School students enjoyed the visit from the mobile clinic sponsored by Advocate Health Care System and the Chicago Bears franchise! This initiative was created to show students how important physical fitness is in their daily routine by offering skills for 60 minutes a day of physical activity.

Tomorrow, Friday, May 31, is the last day of school! Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Happy summer to our Harvey Schools community!

We love to hear from our staff members about why they love working at Harvey School District 152! Tyler Jones is a first grade teacher at Whittier Elementary and shared a bit about her passion for teaching and learning.
“I enjoy working in this district, primarily, because it has helped me gain a wealth of knowledge through professional development to broaden my experience as a teacher. Through the professional development sessions, I have perfected my teaching skills of curriculum standards and teaching strategies to meet the needs of my students. Increasing my competency allows me to better serve my students and aid in the advancement of their education. It is my desire to consistently provide a classroom that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive. I am passionate and committed to ensuring that my influence reaches far beyond the doors of my classroom, which is why I am committed to connecting with each student’s family. I pride myself on being an approachable collaborator and communicator to ensure I provide my students with an optimal education.”
